Cashmere
coats from kokino Design.
Hello and welcome to the Kokino website. I wanted to take a
few minutes of your time to tell you about my company and myself.
My journey with fashion design started back in 1992 when I decided
to enroll in the fashion design program at LaSalle College in
Montreal, Canada. I studied design for three years and graduated
with honors. One of the best honors I received was the fact
I carried my third child, Diego, through my last year of studies.
You might say that we graduated together.
Upon graduation, and with the recommendation of one of my teachers,
I was offered a job as a junior designer with a local company.
I worked for three years in this field, doing everything from
designing to shipping, basically learning everything there is
to know about running my own business. It was an experience
that gave me the solid foundation to launch my own firm.
Why Kokino you might ask? The word is Greek for the color red,
the color of passion. I am passionate about my work, my designs
and my company. I care a tremendous amount for what my customers
demand and expect from my creations.
I launched Kokino in 1998, and have participated in several
trade shows where I exhibited my designs for wholesalers who
welcomed my entry into the market with much enthusiasm.
I decided to launch this website because I wanted to reach a
wider audience. With the progression of E-commerce, there was
a natural inclination on my part to enter into the foray and
participate in this new market economy. The website is a new
avenue for my designs to reach clients who want and deserve
something that is better than what is out there and at a much
better price. Because I'm such a perfectionist, I always over-deliver
to my clients!
I'm fascinated by the sophistication and style of Armani
and humbled by the elegance and humility of Audrey Hepburn.
No garment will ever leave our place if I would not wear it
myself.
My fabrics are bought exclusively from the best mills in Italy
and the best contractors around do the confection right here
in Montreal.
If you decide to buy one of my creations either cashmere coats
or capes, I want you not only to look good in it, but also to
feel good in it. The best of both worlds.
Thank you for visiting. I look forward to seeing you again soon!
Yours
sincerely,
Rosette Lteïf
